Phantom Gourmet: Waffle Creations

BOSTON (CBS) - Bear in Boots in Falmouth is known for their upscale burgers and chicken wings, but dessert is all about the Belgian waffle with chocolate ganache and Chantilly cream.

At Clean Plate Restaurant in Providence, waffles are used in all kinds of creative ways, from banana and bacon to the chorizo bennie made with a cornbread batter, poached eggs, and a Portugese picante sauce.

Skiers at Wachusett, Nashoba Valley, and all over Vermont may be familiar with this place. The Waffle Cabin makes their authentic Belgian waffles to order, so they're always warm, golden, and toasty.

Phantom also recommends the hash brown waffle served at The Farmer's Daughter in North Easton, as well as the King Kong waffle with bananas, chocolate chips, and walnuts at Dave's Diner in Middleboro.
