Patriots Fans Arrive In Denver For AFC Championship

DENVER, Colo. (CBS) - The Patriots arrived in Denver Friday night with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line against the Broncos on Sunday.

The team got to their hotel at 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time and Broncos fans were lined up to take pictures.

Excited Patriots' fans have also started to arrive in Denver. Deep in Bronco country, there is a little piece of New England. Sitting high on the wall at the Pour House bar in downtown Denver, a Tom Brady jersey is proudly displayed.

"I love the Pats," Cathy Vieara says. "I'm told I bleed the Patriots."

And the spot is perfect for sisters Cathy and Linda Vieara, native New Englanders, just in town for the game, and suddenly feeling outnumbered.

"Then we opened the door and said Bruins jersey and Tom Brady jersey, this is near we needed to be," Cathy said.

It's not been easy for Pats fans so far. In Denver, there are rabid Bronco fans everywhere, orange is all over everything.

A massive rally took over the streets Friday.

"The banners on the streets, she wants a shot gun to shoot them out," Cathy says.

But inside the Pour house, it's New England all the way and Linda, in her Pats sweatshirt, feels at home.

"Hold my head high and I'm confident we are going to win," Linda says.

Ryan Skinner is from Massachusetts and now living in Colorado, he's had enough of Bronco fans.

"Work's been pretty rough this week," he says. "I'm getting it from all angles."

So as they all wait for more fans to arrive and increase their numbers, their sights are set on Sunday and beyond

"I'm in for the long haul," Cathy says. "I already have sitters lined up to take care of kids to go to the Super bowl, so they got to win."
