BOSTON (CBS) — It may be some time before the full Chandler Jones story is known publicly, but details continued to trickle out on Wednesday.

The Boston Globe’s Chris Gasper reported that, contrary to an early speculative report, Jones did not overdose on a drug. Gasper also reported that a source confirmed that the drug Jones did take was synthetic marijuana.

“Jones had a bad reaction to a substance he put into his body on Sunday,” Gasper reported. “The source was adamant that Jones did not overdose on a drug such as cocaine or heroin. The source said Jones lives near the Foxborough police station, and he walked there to seek help after he had the bad reaction.”
