Investigators say the assault happened early Friday morning. The 29-year-old woman told police the suspect approached her from behind, said he had a weapon before sexually assaulting her and quickly running away.

The woman managed to get away, but the suspect is still on the loose. He’s described as a black man, about 25 year old, with a goatee, and he was seen wearing black pants, a black jacket and a pink shirt.

Police are warning residents to be alert.

“I try and keep my phone on me to be vigilant, and (also) have someone walk with me,” a Dorchester resident says.
