Human Skeletal Remains Found In Upton Woods By Hunter, Police Say

UPTON (CBS) -- Authorities are investigating after human skeletal remains were found in the woods Saturday afternoon in Upton.

Police say they received a call from a local hunter who came across the remains in a wooded section off Mendon Street. The area had been taped off while officers investigated.

The case is being investigated as an unattended death, police said.

Upton and State Police, the Worcester District Attorney's Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are working on the case. The district attorney's office declined to elaborate on the case on Saturday night.
