Phantom Gourmet: Chinese Restaurants In Greater Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- With the new year just around the corner, Phantom Gourmet went out in search of quality Chinese restaurants in the Greater Boston area.

Bernard's in Chestnut Hill is a modern Chinese restaurant where every dish is made-to-order, from barbecue spare ribs and sizzling chicken, to their famous "scallion pancakes."

Kowloon Restaurant on Route 1 in Saugus is one of the largest Chinese restaurants in the country, with seating for nearly 1,200 customers.

Their massive menu includes pupu platters, thai cuisine, sushi and even an oversized fortune cookie for dessert.

Dumpling Daughter in Weston is a casual, BYOB spot specializing in several styles of dumplings, from traditional pork-and-chive to szechaun chicken.

And remember, New Year's Eve is usually the busiest night of the year for a lot of Chinese restaurants, so if you're thinking about getting takeout get those orders in early.
