2 Die In Possible Carbon Monoxide Incident At Milford Home

MILFORD (CBS) -- A man and a woman have been found dead inside a bedroom at their Milford home after possibly succumbing to carbon monoxide poisoning, fire officials say.

Firefighters were called to the house in the Prospect Heights neighborhood around 1:45 p.m.

It's being investigated as a possible carbon monoxide incident, fire official said. Investigators don't suspect foul play in the deaths.

Neighbors tell WBZ that the victims are a couple from Brazil.

"I'm sad. They are good people," a friend of the victims' roommate, Carlos Alberto, said.

Two other people at the duplex were rushed to Milford Hospital and are being treated for what is believed to be carbon monoxide poisoning, authorities say.

The victims haven't been identified yet.

A friend who lived in the victims' home told WBZ-TV's Louisa Moller one of the victims, a man, said he felt sick around 2 a.m.

The health department has condemned the home.
