Bomb Squad Called To NH Gun Store To Inspect Rocket

PELHAM, N.H. (CBS) – A New Hampshire bomb squad was called to inspect a 4-foot-long rocket after it was dropped off at a gun store, though the item in question turned out to be inert.

A customer came into Hammer Firearms in Pelham on Thursday night, bringing a steel rocket that was four feet long and about four inches in diameter.

The customer had found it in a house they were renovating.

Fearing that the rocket may contain explosives, store employees called police.

A bomb squad from Nashua came to the store and x-rayed the rocket. It was determined to be safe to transport.
