Boston Mayor: Muslims Are 'Not The Problem'
BOSTON (CBS) -- The mayor of Boston is hoping there won't be any backlash against Muslims living in the United States following the deadly shootings in San Bernardino, California.
Fourteen people died during a husband and wife's rampage, which is being investigated as an act of terror. CBS News has reported that one of the killers pledged her allegiance to ISIS on Facebook before the attack.
"There are many Muslim people here in the United States of America. They're not the problem," Mayor Marty Walsh told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Sunday. "They shouldn't be discriminated against. They shouldn't be picked upon. That's the wrong thing to do."

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans made similar comments Friday, saying any backlash against the Muslim community would not be tolerated.
Walsh said he'll be watching President Barack Obama's address Sunday night about national security, and stressed the importance of "see something, say something."
"The message at home is going to be that we have to watch out for each other and take care of each other," Walsh said.
