Companies Offering Employees Financial Classes
BOSTON (CBS) -- Companies are offering financial education classes and they are changing people's lives.
A class helped Jonathan Pogact buy a house and create a secure future for him and his wife. And he did it all without having to leave the office.
"It helps us grow personally, and when we're happy in our personal life we bring it back to the workplace," he says.
Jonathan's company is one of a growing number of businesses that provide sound financial advice.
His office calls the monthly lunchtime information sessions "wisdom Wednesdays."
In a survey, 40 percent of employees admit they're overwhelmed by financial decisions.
Jonathan believes financial wellness training is an incredible job perk. It's free advice that's changed his life.
Popular topics at these classes include retirement planning, debt management, and understanding your credit score.
