Veterans Day Restaurant Deals In The Boston Area

BOSTON (CBS) -- Wednesday, Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, and many restaurants are saying "thank you" to those who have served by offering free meals and other freebies for veterans and active military service members.

Here's a look at some of the eateries in the Boston area with Veterans Day giveaways:

Applebee's will offer a limited menu of free entrees for veterans and active duty military.

Chili's has a selection of free meals for veteran and active duty military diners.

Denny's is offering a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon for active, inactive and retired military personnel.

Friendly's is inviting veterans and active military members to have a free Big-Two-Do with coffee for breakfast, and a complimentary All American Burger with fries and a drink for lunch and dinner.

Hooters will offer five different free meals to veterans and active military. Drink purchase required.

IHOP is giving out a free stack of Red, White & Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to all veteran and active duty military.

Little Caesars Pizza is offering veterans and active military a free $5 HOT-N-READY lunch combo that comes with four slices of deep dish pizza and a soda.

LongHorn Steakhouse is giving out a free Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage to all veterans and active duty military.

Olive Garden says it will offer six different complimentary entrees to veteran and active duty military. Family members dining with them will also get 10 percent off their meals.

Outback Steakhouse is giving out free Bloomin' Onion appetizers to active duty military and veterans, along with a non-alcoholic beverage.

Red Lobster will offer a free appetizer or dessert to everyone who has served in the armed forces.

Red Robin is offering a free Red's Tavern Double burger with bottomless steak fries to all veterans and active duty service members.

Ruby Tuesday will be serving free appetizers for veterans.

Starbucks is handing out free tall hot brewed coffees to active duty service members, veterans and military spouses.

TGI Fridays says it's offering a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for veterans and active military members.

Texas Roadhouse has a free lunch menu for veterans and active military personnel.

Uno Pizzeria & Grill is giving past and present military members a free entrée or individual pizza with an entrée or pizza purchase of equal or greater value.
