Cheerleading Coach Charged With Raping West Bridgewater Athlete

BROCKTON (CBS) – A coach from a West Bridgewater cheerleading gym has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage athlete.

Nicholas Johnson, 26, of Brockton, was arraigned earlier this week on one count each of aggravated rape of a child, enticement of a minor, and posing a child in a state of nudity. He was held on $50,000 bail.

The parents of a female athlete at Full House All Stars cheerleading gym contacted police about an alleged sexual relationship between Johnson and their daughter.

The teenager told police that Johnson sexually assaulted her one time and a second time took her off the gym property.

On October 14, police first spoke to Johnson about the allegations.

Later in the day, Johnson was driving on Route 24 North when his car left the road and crashed. Johnson was taken to Norwood Hospital, where he remained until Monday afternoon.

When he was discharged from the hospital, Johnson was arrested by Norwood Police.

Johnson was fired from Full House All Stars last week and is next scheduled to appear in court on November 18.
