Man Charged With OUI Following Wrong-Way Crash In Bourne

BOURNE (CBS) -- A Plymouth man is facing charges after allegedly driving the wrong way for nearly 20 miles on Route 3 in Bourne and causing a serious crash.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Saturday.

Police say 26-year-old Kevin Palmer was drunk when he crashed into a car heading north and continued driving.

No one was hurt in the crash. State Police shut down the highway and deployed stop sticks on the road.

Palmer was arrested after two of his tires blew out near the Sagamore Bridge.

He was released on bail and will be arraigned in Falmouth District Court on Monday.
