Bedard's 3 Ups, 3 Down: Brady, Gronkowski Incredible Again vs. Bills

BOSTON (CBS) — Sports Illustrated's Greg Bedard is back on Felger & Mazz for another NFL season, bringing his full breakdown of the previous week's Patriots game to the table every week.

Bedard joined Felger & Mazz on Tuesday (without a chart, believe it or not) to break down New England's 40-32 win over the Buffalo Bills. You can watch the full segment above, and here are Bedard's Ups & Downs (as well as Mazz's) from the win in Buffalo:

Bedard's Ups

Tom Brady

"This was to a much more higher degree of difficulty than the Steelers game. He was sensational, even though I put both sacks on Brady… But for the most part what they asked him to do in spreading it out, he was awesome."

Sebastian Vollmer

"He was great. Those outside linebackers for the Bills are tough to handle, and he was almost flawless."

Rob Gronkowski

"[The Boston Herald's] Jeff Howe wrote this before the season and I think he's onto something. I think Gronk should be up for MVP this year. Anyone who has watched the Patriots offense with him and without him, he makes all the difference in the world. As long as he is out there, this team is tough to beat."

Mazz's Ups

Tom Brady

"Brady, Brady, Brady, Brady, Brady! 59 times he whipped it; Rick Porecello doesn't throw it that much in his starts. He was awesome."

Rob Gronkowski

"The guy is uncoverable. I felt like every time Brady threw to Gronk, he caught it. There was an exception or two, but the guy is ridiculous. He is uncoverable and such a freaking force."

Jamie Collins

"It was a game the offense controlled and dominated, but I think Collins is an absolute animal. When you get him running around he can make all different kinds of plays."

Bedard's Downs

Shaq Mason

"I had him giving up two knockdowns, a hurry and a run stuff. He just had a tough deal."

Bradley Fletcher

"I don't think he's lasting the season on this team. He looks like Old Man River. He can't run, guys are blowing passed him. He isn't doing what they need him to do in the scheme. I'd be surprised if he was here at the halfway point."

Rob Ninkovich

"I'll go with someone I'm disappointed in. This is two weeks in a row he's had trouble. He is going up the field too much; the first play of the game Tyrod Taylor went right by him and went up the field for 30 yards. Rob has had trouble setting the edge or staying in the rush lane. I was just disappointed. If it continues, he's going to lose time to Jabaal Sheard."

Mazz's Downs

Bradley Fletcher

"You stink. Holy smokes was he terrible. Bradley Fletcher, No. 24; even the digits add up to six. That's all you need to know."

Bradley Fletcher (again)

"He was so bad he was No. 1 and 2."

When told picking Fletcher twice was illegal in this game of Up and Down, Mazz went with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels (or Bill Belichick) for the offensive play-calling late in the game.

Devin McCourty

"I don't think McCourty has been much of a factor in either game. Maybe it's because he's off the screen entirely and they have him so far back there, but Duron Harmon has been around  to make some plays. I feel like the only guy in the secondary that hasn't made a play in the first two weeks is McCourty."
