BEDFORD, N.H. (CBS) – A New Hampshire man was arrested after a fatal crash that police believe was caused by speed an alcohol.

Bedford police responded to a one-car rollover crash on Saturday night on Kilton Road.

A 1970 Chevy Chevelle was on its roof when officers arrived. One of the three people who were in the car died.

Police identified the driver as Nicholas Palangas, 50, of Weare, N.H.

While investigating the crash, police determined alcohol and speed appeared to have caused the crash as Palangas was unable to navigate a turn in the road.

Palangas was charged with negligent homicide and aggravated driving while intoxicated.

He was held on $50,000 cash bail. He will be arraigned Tuesday in Merrimack District Court.

The victim’s identification has not yet been released.
