New Hampshire Man Shot By Police Responding To Threat Call

MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire officials say a man armed with a knife was critically wounded by a Merrimack police officer responding to a domestic disturbance call.

Authorities say 23-year-old Harrison Lambert was shot by one of the two police officers who responded to a report Thursday afternoon of an adult male threatening his father at 8 Joppa Road in Merrimack. They say the officers encountered Lambert outside with a knife.

The information released by police and the attorney general's office does not indicate whether Lambert threatened or lunged at police before he was shot.

The officers were not injured.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
