WESTMINSTER (CBS) — Police have safely corralled a water buffalo that escaped its enclosure at Wachusett Mountain on Sunday morning.

Westminster police told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 earlier in the day that the nearly 2,000-pound animal was “extremely docile,” but should not be approached by the public.

Several residents in the area reported seeing the animal, and it was finally caught by Westminster police on Sunday afternoon.
