Driver Killed In NH Toll Booth Crash Identified

MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) — Authorities have identified the driver who died in a fiery crash into a New Hampshire toll booth last week.

State police say 27-year-old John McDonough of Merrimack died Thursday.

The 2006 BMW McDonough had been seen driving erratically on the Everett Turnpike for several miles before the crash.

State police say it caused a minor accident with a pick-up truck, narrowly missed a motorcyclist and a large dump truck and then nearly struck a state police cruiser.

The car then crashed into the booth at an exit off-ramp in Merrimack and burst into flames.

McDonough died at the scene.
