Daily Talker: Intern Dress Code

In the wake of two recent scandals involving Missouri lawmakers, two Republican legislators in the state have proposed a dress code for interns. They say a dress code would help prevent sexual harassment. The state's former House Speaker resigned in May over suggestive text messages with a 19 year old Capitol intern. Then on Friday a State Senator resigned over allegations that he made unwanted sexual advances towards interns. Senator Claire McCaskill immediately criticized the dress code proposal calling it victim blaming. But the lawmakers defend their proposal saying a modest dress code would eliminate any temptations.

What do you think? Should interns have a dress code?
