Salem Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle; 1 Arrested

SALEM (CBS) -- A 42-year-old man was struck and killed by a motor vehicle in Salem Sunday night, police said.

The incident happened at about 10:45 p.m. at 75 Bridge St.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver did stop, according to police.

Police said one person has been arrested and will be arraigned in Salem District Court on Monday.

No other information was immediately available.

Salem police are still investigating.
