'Extremely Dangerous' Fugitive Arrested In Alexandria, NH

CONCORD, N.H. (CBS) -- U.S. Marshals arrested an "extremely dangerous" fugitive in New Hampshire Monday afternoon.

Jason McCoy was wanted on several outstanding warrants, including a probation violation on an original charge of reckless conduct involving a firearm, as well as receiving stolen property.

While on the lam, McCoy allegedly stole a car, a shotgun, and ammunition.

He also allegedly led police on multiple chases.

Marshals say McCoy is a known drug user who was reportedly hallucinating and sleeping with weapons.

The U.S. Marshals Service was flooded with telephone calls and anonymous text tips and emails after they sent out a press release asking for the public's help locating McCoy. The 25-year-old was arrested at a home on Mount Cardigan Road in Alexandria, NH shortly after 1:00 pm.

McCoy allegedly stole a black 2014 Nissan Juke with New Hampshire plates that read "LONWULF." The stolen vehicle and firearm were not recovered at the scene of McCoy's arrest.
