Officers Stop At Upton Lemonade Stand Supporting Sick Girl

UPTON (CBS) – Police officers made a special stop on Saturday in Upton as they helped support a lemonade stand raising money for a girl who recently underwent a bone marrow transplant.

A post on the Upton Police Department Facebook page says day shift officers stopped by a Grove Street lemonade stand in honor of Sydney Darragh.

Sydney suffers from Diamond Blackfan Anemia and recently underwent a bone marrow transplant. Her sister Hayden was the donor, Upton police said.

Several of Sydney's friends were selling lemonade Saturday to raise money for the Sydney Darragh Foundation.

More information on Sydney's medical battle can be found on the Sydney Darragh Foundation Facebook page.
