Dorchester Man Charged With Assaulting, Robbing Elderly Woman At MBTA Station

BOSTON (CBS) -- A 23-year-old Dorchester man has been charged with assaulting and robbing an elderly woman late Wednesday night at an MBTA station.

Cordaryll Monroe allegedly assaulted and robbed a woman over the age of 60 around 11:10 p.m. at Savin Hill Station.

It's unclear what Monroe allegedly stole from the woman.

After MBTA Transit Police posted Monroe's photo on their blog on Friday, he turned himself in to police later that same day.

He has been charged with unarmed robbery and assault and battery on an elderly person.

Monroe is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday.
