45-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Pulled From Waters At Yarmouth Beach

YARMOUTH (CBS) -- A 45-year-old man has died after being pulled from the waters at a Yarmouth beach on Saturday.

First responders were called to the Seaview Beach area on South Shore Drive at 3:49 p.m.

A lifeguard told responders that a man was in the water and stopped swimming.

Lifeguards brought the man onto the beach, started CPR and it was continued by EMTS and firefighters when they got on scene, fire officials say.

The victim was given advanced life support while being taken by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital about an hour after the initial report.

The man has not been identified by authorities.

No additional details were immediately available.
