Chihuahua Missing After Rollover Crash Reunited With Owners

FREETOWN (CBS) -- A Chihuahua that went missing after running away from a Fourth of July rollover crash has been reunited with its owners.

Jax the Chihuahua was riding in a vehicle that rolled over on Route 24 in Freetown on Saturday. Freetown Animal Control said that before the driver was transported to the hospital, he asked where his dog was.

There was no sign of the dog for days, but on Wednesday, someone caught him.

"Jax is dehydrated and covered in ticks but otherwise in good condition," animal control said. "He was very happy to see his dad, he was exhausted."
