Adventure Week: Exploring An Aerial Terrain Park
SANDWICH (CBS) - The Adventure Park at Heritage Museums and Gardens is quickly becoming a destination for adventure seekers young and old.

"Kids from 7 to 107 can participate." Ellen Spear, Heritage president and CEO, told WBZ-TV.
"Some of our first visitors were in their mid 70's. And they were having a wonderful time. Right next to them were middle schoolers, and they were encouraging each other to go through the trees together."
As kids or adults climb through the aerial terrain courses, they have a bonding experience, calling out words of encouragement and helping each other out.
Spear herself had a fun time up there!
"It's physically challenging but it's doable, and the sense of accomplishment when you're finished is really terrific," she said.
So many positive vibes came from the staff and president, so I had to try it out.
But I needed some advice first.
"Hold on to the wires when going across the trail, keep your balance," rope course participant Jack Sullivan told us.
His friend James Melvin said,"You bend your knees sometimes, it helps you keep your balance."
Tyler Alpizar, the lead park supervisor, took me through a safety briefing and then taught me the rules of the course.
Once I learned how the clips worked, we went through several challenges.
Each platform took us to a more difficult stretch, but I felt a sense of accomplishment each time.
