LEXINGTON (CBS) — A tractor-trailer caught fire after colliding with a car late Wednesday night on Route 128 in Lexington.

State Police were called to the highway near exit 29 about 10:55 p.m. after receiving a report of a crash between the tractor-trailer and a Volkswagen sedan.

Troopers found the truck fully engulfed in flames. That section of the highway was shut down briefly while firefighters put out the fire.

The drivers suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Lahey Hospital.

It’s unclear what the tractor-trailer was carrying or what caused the crash.
