TEWKSBURY (CBS) – The summer of Market Basket began one year ago.

After Artie T., as he is known, was fired and his cousin Arthur S. Demoulas took over, thousands of employees showed their displeasure to management by refusing to work.

The standoff lasted until the final week of August when Artie T. returned as CEO, employees returned to work, and shelves were stocked again.
On Tuesday at Market Basket in Tewksbury, customers told WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Karyn Regal that they were glad employees stood up for Artie T.
