2 Men Charged With Murder In Hyannis Shooting

HYANNIS, Mass. (CBS/AP) — Two men have been charged with murder after allegedly shooting a 19-year-old Hyannis man to death during a suspected drug deal early Friday morning.

Authorities say David Anthony Colon of Hyannis was pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital on Friday morning, hours after he was shot at about 2 a.m. while he was in a car during an apparent marijuana sale. Passengers in the car drove Colon to the hospital after the shooting

Investigators say the shooting took place in the Washington Avenue Extension area in Hyannis.

In a joint press statement, Cape and Island District Attorney Michael O'Keefe and Barnstable police chief Paul MacDonald announced Friday afternoon that Kyle Jeffrey Walker, 24, of South Yarmouth, and Keven Seme, 19, of Brockton, were arrested on Friday.

The suspects were arrested in the parking lot of the Cuddles and Bubbles Hotel on Main Street, Hyannis, after getting into a car driven by two 17-year-old girls, authorities say.

Authorities say three other people are under arrest for trafficking heroin who were in the hotel room from which the two charged in the shooting emerged. A quantity of heroin has been seized, authorities added.

Barnstable police and state police detectives are investigating.
