Power Restored To Danvers Homes Affected By Fallen Tree

DANVERS (CBS) -- A fallen tree knocked out power to homes in the Danvers Square area on Saturday, Danvers police say.

The tree struck power lines around 3 p.m. and landed on Damon Street. The affected areas included Maple and High Streets, and also the traffic lights in the Liberty, Elliott and Route 128 area.

Police, fire, electric, forestry and street departments worked together to resolve the problems created by the fallen tree.

Power was out for several hours until it was restored around 9 p.m.
