5 People Injured In Sturbridge Crash

STURBRIDGE (CBS) -- Police say five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Sturbridge on Saturday.

Officers and firefighters were called to Route 20 near Wendy's restaurant shortly before 6 p.m.

Three kids and two women were traveling together in a SUV when a pickup truck struck them from the side. At least four of them were taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center.

A girl passenger suffered life-threatening injuries. The status for the other four hurt is currently unknown.

A man driving the truck was not hurt in the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

No arrests have been made.
