Rhode Island Man Allegedly Assaults Woman At MBTA Station

BOSTON (CBS) -- Transit police say a Rhode Island man assaulted a 22-year-old woman at the MBTA Back Bay Station on Saturday night.

Police were called to the station about 8:35 p.m. on a report of assault and battery. Officers met with the victim and also a witness.

The woman told officers that while at the Commuter Rail ticket counter, she was approached by a man who made several sexually inappropriate comments to her and began to dance and gyrate his body. When she attempted to walk away from the man, he assaulted her, police say.

Bradford Bowe, 22, of Cumberland, was arrested and charged with indecent assault.

Bowe was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Boston Municipal Court-Central Division.
