Injured Hiker Rescued From Purgatory Chasm State Reservation
SUTTON (CBS) - Sutton firefighters rescued an injured hiker at Purgatory Chasm State Reservation on Saturday afternoon.
Sutton police officer, Medstar Ambulance and Purgatory Park rangers assisted firefighters with the rescue operation, according to the Sutton Fire Department Facebook page.
The hiker, who has not been identified, was freed quickly and taken to a hospital for evaluation. Their status is currently unknown.
"As always, please be careful when hiking in and around the chasm and wear appropriate footwear for a hike," reads the Facebook post.
