ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) — Four Danvers High School seniors have been named recipients of the 2015 Colleen Ritzer Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarships are named after the North Andover native and Danvers High math teacher who was killed in October 2013, allegedly by one of her students.READ MORE: New Memorial In Worcester Honors Firefighters Killed In Line Of Duty
The scholarships are awarded to students from Danvers or North Andover high schools who reflect Ritzer’s values and plan to go to college and become teachers.READ MORE: 2 Extricated From Car After Crash In Medford
The North Andover recipients will be announced next week.
