WATCH: Hardy Tries To Qualify For The Benrus Open

BOSTON (CBS) - This past Sunday, 98.5 The Sports Hub's Rob "Hardy" Poole, station sales executive Adam Moscatel and contest winner Jeff Potter and his father Jim traveled down to Wyoming, R.I. to try and qualify for The Benrus Open.

The Benrus Open is a sanctioned PGA tournament event that features $20 million in cash and prizes, in what some are calling "the greatest day in golf."

"If you're one of the probably several hundred thousand golfers in the New England region, and you don't even have a handicap, this is your first opportunity to play in a real tournament and actually win some money," director of operations Troy Pare told Hardy on a recent episode of the Sports Hub Golf Club.

This year's tournament takes place on June 18, and while Hardy played well, it's probably safe to say he won't be taking home $20 million anytime soon.
