Trooper Paul Copponi helped deliver the baby while Trooper Daniel Mahoney took care of Carless's three young children who were also in the car.

Copponi helped to calm Carless and reassured her that help was on the way.

"He held my hand and he was very caring," said Carless. "He wouldn't leave, he was right there to help me through all of it."

Framingham EMS arrived on scene as baby boy Jalil was being delivered.

"They came right on time," said Carless. "I couldn't have done it myself."

Mother and baby are healthy. The family was taken to MetroWest Framingham Hospital.
