A new idea from the federal government might end up as popular as “new Coke.”
The U.S. Department of Agriculture warned Americans last year that s’mores were unhealthy, writing in a blog post:
“But there are some innovative ways to roast the little white treats that can help cut down on the amount of sugar intake by the kids, thus making bedtime a little more doable.”
Now the USDA has published it’s alternative recipe.
“This quick, easy, and mouth-watering recipe is a perfect afternoon snack for the early days of summer. The chocolate is replaced by strawberries.
The marshmallow also gone, taken over by low-fat yogurt.
The only thing that’s the same is the graham cracker, at least for now.
