Flooding Causes Phone Outages At Two Boston Hospitals
BOSTON (CBS) -- Tufts Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center were unable to receive calls from outside the respective hospitals.
The outages, which began late Sunday night, were due to a flood at Windstream Communications located on Congress Street, which supplies the phone system at both hospitals.
The hospitals asked anyone to get in touch with a patient to call their cell phone.
Both hospitals set up an alternative phone line for patients' family members.
The issue was resolved late Monday afternoon.
