Police: Nashua, NH, Boy Breaks Free Of Attempted Abduction

NASHUA, N.H. (CBS) – A New Hampshire boy told police he broke free and ran away from a man who tried to grab his wrist and walk away with him.

Police in Nashua were called to the area of Lake Street and Russell Street and found a 12-year-old boy who said he had been the victim of an attempted abduction.

The boy told officers he was walking in the area when a man grabbed his wrist and tried to forcibly take him in an unknown direction.

According to police, the boy was able to break free and flag down a passer-by who called Nashua police.

When police spoke to the boy, he said the suspect allegedly tried to take him from Lake Street toward Balcom Street.

After the boy broke free of the man's grip, the suspect ran eastbound on Lake Street.

Officers searched the area but could not find any additional information.

The suspect is described as an older white man, possibly in his mid- to late-30s. He was wearing a hood over his head, sunglasses, a grey sweatshirt and ripped jeans.
