Brockton Boy Falls Out Second Floor Window

BROCKTON (CBS) – A young Brockton boy is recovering after accidentally falling from a second floor window.

Brockton police said around 8 p.m. on Friday the residents of a Bellevue Avenue home had put their 3-year-old child in one room and were putting together a bed nearby when they found he was gone.

The family had just recently moved into the home.

Neighbors found the young boy in some bushes on the front lawn.

Carlos Rosado told WBZ-TV's Paul Burton on Saturday that he was playing basketball with his kids and neighbors when he heard a terrifying scream.

"She said 'The Boy!' That's when I ran across the street and got the kid," he said. "He was shocked and crying but thank God he is fine," Rosado said.

An ambulance arrived at the house and brought the toddler to Boston Children's Hospital.

Police said the boy was in good condition as of Saturday morning.

People were coming and out of the home throughout the day but the family declined to speak.

No charges are expected to be filed, police say.

Rosado says this was just a horrible accident and he's glad he was able to help the family.

"They are a very nice family. They are church goers. I was happy because I (have) three kids and I hope someone would do the same for me," he said.
