BOSTON (CBS) -- This week, David Letterman will say goodbye to the "Late Show."

And some Bay State viewers might remember when Letterman broadcast the show with an audience hailing from Boston in May of 1999.

Letterman asked Menino if folks liked him. They mayor answered "I hope so!" waved to the crowd, and said goodbye.

"The Top 10 things you don't want to hear from a hot dog vendor at Fenway Park" list also got a big laugh.

Guests on the show that night included Red Sox star Nomar Garciaparra, Natalie Portman, East Bridgewater's Tom Everett Scott and the Tufts University men's a capella group.
