Extra Police At Marshfield High School After Threat Found

MARSHFIELD (CBS) – There will be extra police officers at Marshfield High School Thursday after a threat was found on a bathroom door.

According to an announcement to parents from Dr. Ellen Martin, Interim Superintendent of Marshfield Public Schools, a student told his coach Wednesday afternoon that "he had read graffiti on a bathroom stall door that indicated the school would blow up on 5-14-15, RIP."

Police were called and they determined there was "no credible evidence of an imminent threat."

The State Police Bomb Squad was brought in to sweep and secure the building Thursday morning and they "found nothing of concern," according to Martin.

Police told WBZ-TV it is senior week at Marshfield High and students are also taking final exams.

There have been no arrests or charges filed at this point in the investigation.
