BOSTON (CBS) – Vince Wilfork may no longer be a member of the New England Patriots. But the big man is still in Tom Brady’s corner.

Wilfork defended the suspended quarterback in an Instagram post on Tuesday, praising the “best QB to ever play the game.”

“11 solid years, 4 Super Bowl appearances, 2 Super Bowl victories and ALOT of WINNING! Only thing I wish I could change is winning more SBs with THE BEST QB to ever play the game. No matter what team I play for, Tommy boy, you always family,” posted Wilfork along with a post-Super Bowl photo of himself and Brady.

After more than a decade with the Patriots, Wilfork was released by the Patriots following the team’s Super Bowl win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Wilfork went on to sign with the Houston Texans, where he will play under head coach Bill O’Brien, a former member of the Patriots coaching staff.

The NFL announced on Monday that Brady was suspended for four games as a result of his role in DeflateGate and for his lack of cooperation with Ted Wells during the ensuing investigation.

Brady’s agent Don Yee has indicated that his client will fight the suspension.
