Julian Edelman Ranked No. 91 On NFL Network's 'Top 100 Players Of 2015'
BOSTON (CBS) - Julian Edelman capped off another career year with a Super Bowl victory, and as a result, he was finally recognized by his peers as being one of the best players in the National Football League.
The Patriots wide receiver/punt returner/emergency quarterback/Swiss Army knife finished the 2014 season with five total touchdowns, 972 receiving yards, 299 return yards and 94 rushing yards.
While the stats may not jump off the page, when Tom Brady and the Patriots needed a big play on offense, he normally turned to Edelman, and that was never more evident than in Super Bowl XLIX. Edelman finished the biggest game on the biggest stage with nine catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Edelman was the first Patriots player to be on the NFL Network's "Top 100 Players of 2015" special, coming in at No. 91.
