Woman Found Dead Inside Merrimack, NH, Home

MERRIMACK, N.H. (CBS) - Authorities are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a Merrimack home on Thursday.

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, State Police Col. Robert Quinn, and Merrimack Police Chief Mark Doyle announced in a joint statement Thursday afternoon that they are investigating the death of 61-year-old Darlene Lawrence.

Lawrence was found dead inside a home at 86 Back River Road, located near Packard Drive and Country Club Lane.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday on Lawrence's body.

State Police Major Crimes Unit arrived on scene shortly after 11 a.m.

Crime scene tape was put up across the front of the property.

Investigators said that the public does not appear to be in any danger based on early information in the case.
