Milan Lucic's Father Dies Unexpectedly
BOSTON (CBS) – Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic is grieving the unexpected loss of his father.
Lucic announced on Saturday through a team press release that his father died Wednesday in the family's hometown of Vancouver.
"My family and I am very grateful for the outpouring of support from the hockey community, friends and fans from around the world. We kindly ask everyone to respect our privacy during this difficult and sad time," Lucic said.
Lucic, a 2006 draft pick by the Bruins, scored 18 goals and had 26 assists this season.
