Marathon Bombing Survivor Rebekah Gregory Calls Finish Line Crossing A "New Beginning"

BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston Marathon bombing survivor Rebekah Gregory knelt to the ground and cried after crossing the finish line, in an emotional moment she described as a "new beginning."

Gregory, who was injured in the 2013 bombings and had her leg amputated last November, ran the last three miles of the race with her trainer.

"Everything from that day just came back," Gregory said. "It was like all the events were happening again but I was like running from it."

"When I crossed the finish line, it's like the start of my new beginning," she said.

Gregory had been training to run the marathon but was not cleared to run the entire race.
