MBTA Warns Riders About 'Hot Seat' For Theft

BOSTON (CBS) - Transit Police are warning riders to rethink their seating choice.

The T says it's seen an increase in thefts of commuters sitting closest to the door.

Police say the so-called 'hot-seat' is an easy target because the suspect can slip off the train before the victim realizes what happened.

Police say the Red line between Downtown Crossing and Ashmont is of particular concern.
