Charges Dropped Against Sex Offender Accused Trying To Lure Cohasset Girl

COHASSET (CBS) – Charges have been dropped against a Level 2 sex offender who was accused of attempting to lure a young girl into his car in Cohasset.

On March 26, a 10-year-old Cohasset girl said a man pulled over, opened the door of his car and said "You need a ride home sweetheart?"

A day later, police arrested Michael Wynn of North Attleboro based on the girl's description of the suspect and his vehicle.

But Tuesday the Norfolk District Attorney's office said GPS records show Wynn was not in the area of the incident.

In addition, prosecutors said there are conflicts in the description of the clothes the suspect was wearing and the car he was driving given by the witness.

Cohasset police are continuing to the investigate the alleged child enticement incident.
