FRAMINGHAM (CBS) – Two people are in custody after police investigated a report of a methamphetamine lab in the woods Monday in Framingham.
Officers investigated a camp site north of the former New England Sand and Gravel site, which is currently under development to become an apartment complex, according to the Framingham police Facebook account.
Investigators allegedly found a meth lab inside a tent, along with chemicals and equipment.
The man and woman arrested won’t be identified until they have been decontaminated and booked.
Several agencies helped secure the site which isn’t considered to be a threat to the public or schools, police say.
Framingham police and fire, state hazmat and bomb squads, a DEA meth lab team and an AMR ambulance responded to the scene.
The scene was cleared by 2:45 p.m.
